Are restrooms available on-site?

Accepted Answer

Yes! During the Fall Festival, port-a-potties and portable sinks are located on the main lawn for easy access. A dedicated diaper changing area is available nearby for parents with little ones.

Additional restroom facilities are also available inside, near our retail area.

Question 3

Are pets allowed at Sunnyside Gardens?

To ensure the safety of our visitors and our resident greenhouse cats, we kindly ask that you leave pets at home or comfortably in your vehicle during your visit. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

Are service animals welcome at Sunnyside Gardens?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In accordance with New York State law and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Sunnyside Gardens welcomes service animals on our property.

A service animal is defined as a dog trained to perform specific tasks for an individual with a disability — such as guiding someone with visual impairment, alerting someone who is deaf, pulling a wheelchair, or assisting during a medical emergency.

Access: Service animals are permitted in all public areas of our property. We do not require service animals to wear vests, tags, or identification. If a service animal is not identifiable, we may ask two questions to confirm its status:

Is the dog needed due to a disability?
What specific tasks has the dog been trained to perform?

Handler Responsibilities: Handlers are responsible for their service animal's behavior at all times. If a service animal becomes disruptive or poses a threat to others, we reserve the right to ask the handler to remove the animal from the premises.

Emotional Support Animals: Please note that emotional support animals do not have the same access rights as service animals under the ADA and are not permitted on our property.

When does your Fall Festival take place?

Our Fall Festival kicks off on the last Saturday of September each year and runs through Halloween.

All activities — including the hayride, train ride, butterfly house, and fresh cider donuts — are available daily from 10:00am to 4:45pm.

Admission is always free. You only pay for the rides and activities you choose.

Is there an entry fee to the Fall Festival, and how much do activities cost?

Admission is always free — walk in, explore the pumpkin patch, enjoy the displays, and soak up the atmosphere at no cost.

You only pay for the activities you choose:

Hayride — $6 per person
Train Ride — $4 per person
Butterfly House — $3 per person

Is smoking permitted on the property?

Smoking and tobacco products are not permitted anywhere on our property. Cigarette smoke can cause significant harm to our plants, and we want to keep the environment safe and enjoyable for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation — guests who do not comply may be asked to leave.

Do you offer birthday party hosting?

We don't offer private birthday party packages, but you're absolutely welcome to celebrate with us as part of the general public — and plenty of families do just that!

A few things to keep in mind for larger groups:

Parking can fill up quickly, so carpooling is encouraged
Picnic tables are shared among all guests, so please be mindful of others waiting
During busy periods, some activities may have wait times

Can I bring outside food to the Fall Festival?

We ask that guests leave outside food at home — but don't worry, we have plenty of delicious options on site! Our concession stand serves fresh cider donuts, popcorn, pastries, brownies, turnovers, and hot dogs to keep everyone fueled up and happy.

Families with infants and toddlers are welcome to bring bottles and small snacks for little ones — no problem at all.

Does Sunnyside Gardens accept credit cards?

We accept both cash and credit cards. We also have an ATM on site near the concession stand during the Fall Festival, so you're covered either way.
