If you missed our first houseplants shipment earlier this spring, don't worry — this one is bigger and more varied. We've brought in a whole new lineup of foliage plants, topicals, and statement trees, with something for every light level and skill level. Come see us at Sunnyside Gardens in Saratoga Springs before these go fast.

More Houseplants Just Arrived at Sunnyside Gardens in Saratoga Springs!
The houseplants keep coming! Our second shipment of the season has landed at Sunnyside Gardens, and we packed it with even more variety than the first. New foliage plants, tropicals, and floor trees — all fresh off the truck and ready to find a home. Stop in and see what's new before the benches empty out.
Fatsia japonica 'Variegata' — Variegated Japanese Aralia
This one stopped us in our tracks when it came off the truck. The variegated Fatsia is significantly harder to find than the standard green form, and each leaf — dramatically lobed, like an open hand — is splashed with creamy white in a completely unique pattern. It thrives in lower light and cooler rooms, making it ideal for spaces where other plants struggle. We have a small number of these and don't expect them to last.
Light: Bright to low indirect | Water: When top inch is dry | Note: Prefers cool temperatures
Ficus elastica 'Burgundy' — Burgundy Rubber Plant
The rubber plant has made a full comeback, and 'Burgundy' is the variety everyone wants right now. Deep wine-red leaves with a glossy, lacquered surface — moody and architectural without being fussy. These are starter plants in 4" pots, perfect for a desk or shelf, and they grow quickly once settled into a bright spot. Not in our first shipment — brand new this week.
Light: Bright indirect | Water: Every 1–2 weeks | Note: Toxic to pets
Codiaeum variegatum 'Petra' — Croton
The 'Petra' Croton is one of the most dramatic foliage plants you can grow indoors — leaves in deep burgundy, blazing orange, red, and near-black. The more light it gets, the richer the colors become. These are full, healthy plants ready to be a centerpiece. A standout addition that wasn't available in our first delivery.
Light: Bright direct or indirect | Water: Keep evenly moist | Note: Toxic to pets
Cordyline fruticosa — Ti Plant (Hot Pink)
Long, arching leaves in saturated shades of magenta and bubblegum pink — the Ti plant brings a level of color that most foliage plants simply can't touch. The specimens we have right now are particularly vivid and full. Give it a bright window and it will hold that color beautifully all year. New to the floor this week.
Light: Bright indirect | Water: When top inch is dry | Note: Toxic to cats & dogs
Aglaonema commutatum — Chinese Evergreen (Green & Silver)
We sold through our Aglaonemas quickly in the first shipment, so we brought in more — and more varieties. This green-and-silver form is lush, full, and wonderfully tolerant of dim corners most plants won't touch. If you have a north-facing room or a dark office, this is your plant.
Light: Low to medium indirect | Water: Every 1–2 weeks | Note: Toxic to pets
Aglaonema 'Siam Aurora' — Chinese Evergreen (Pink-Edged)
Same bulletproof Chinese evergreen care — completely different look. 'Siam Aurora' blazes with hot pink and red margins framing a green-and-yellow center. It genuinely shouldn't be this easy to grow something that looks this good. We have a full bench of these in excellent condition, and they're new to us this shipment.
Light: Low to medium indirect | Water: Every 1–2 weeks | Note: Toxic to pets
Dypsis lutescens — Areca Palm
Nothing transforms a living room like a floor-height palm, and the Areca is the best one for indoors. Arching feathery fronds on golden canes — full, tropical, and one of the top air-humidifying plants you can own. Our current specimens are 4 to 6 feet tall and exceptionally full. One of the few houseplants that's completely safe for cats and dogs.
Light: Bright indirect | Water: Keep lightly moist | Note: Pet-friendly
Dracaena fragrans — Corn Plant (Tall Multi-Stem)
These large, multi-caned Dracaenas are the kind of plant that fills a corner and asks for almost nothing in return. Tolerant of low light, dry air, and irregular watering — one of the most forgiving indoor trees you can buy. The specimens we received this shipment are 4 to 5 feet and beautifully shaped.
Light: Low to bright indirect | Water: Every 2–3 weeks | Note: Toxic to pets
Dracaena fragrans 'Limelight' — Corn Plant (Lime Green)
A variety we didn't carry in our first shipment and one we're really happy to have. 'Limelight' brings the same easy-going Dracaena temperament but with luminous, almost glowing lime-green foliage that feels fresh and contemporary in any space. Something genuinely different from the standard dark-green corn plant.
Light: Medium to bright indirect | Water: Every 2–3 weeks | Note: Easy care
Monstera deliciosa — Swiss Cheese Plant (Back in Stock)
We sold out of our Monsteras from the first shipment within days — so we made sure to bring in more. These are healthy, mid-size plants with well-developed fenestrations already forming. Available in 6" and 10" pots. If you've been waiting on one, now's the time.
Light: Bright indirect | Water: Every 1–2 weeks | Note: Toxic to pets
Stop in and see us — the greenhouse is full and everything is looking great. We're at Sunnyside Gardens in Saratoga Springs, and as always, our team is happy to help you find the right plant for your space.
