PUMPKIN PATCH

Fall Festival

Celebrate the season at Sunnyside Gardens’ annual Fall Festival, starting the last Saturday of September through Halloween. Families from across the Capital Region come to enjoy pumpkins, hayrides, cider donuts, and festive fall fun in Saratoga Springs, NY.

The Pumpkin Patch Experience

For nearly 40 years, our locally grown pumpkin patch has been a seasonal favorite for families in the Capital Region. Each year, we create unique displays and fill the patch with pumpkins of every shape and size, perfect for decorating or carving. Step into the patch and enjoy the scent of freshly made cider donuts, hop on a tractor-pulled hayride, or ride our area’s only ride-on train.

Family-Friendly Fun

Our pumpkin patch is designed as a safe, family-friendly experience. Kids who visited years ago now bring their own families to make new memories. We focus on fun and affordability — there’s no admission charge, and you only pay for the rides and activities you participate in. No gore, blood, or scary thrills — just classic autumn enjoyment for all ages.

Fall Mums, Flowers & Plants

Every summer, Sunnyside Gardens grows thousands of chrysanthemum cuttings into our famous “Monster Mums.” With decades of experience, we produce some of the largest and most vibrant mums in the region.

Mums begin blooming in early September and often continue until the first hard frost, sometimes even through Thanksgiving. With over 100 varieties available, there are plenty of colors and sizes to choose from.

We also carry other fall favorites, including:

  • Asters

  • Fall perennials such as sedums

  • Ornamental peppers

Perfect for adding beautiful fall color to your garden, porch, or patio.

Locally Grown Pumpkins & Squash

All of our pumpkins, squash, corn, and hay come from New York farmers, ensuring fresh, locally grown produce throughout the fall season.

  • Striped Cushaw squash

  • Blue Hubbard squash

  • Rouge Vif d’Etampes (Cinderella pumpkin)

  • Casper white pumpkins

  • Long Island Cheese pumpkins

  • Fairytale pumpkins

  • Blue Jarrahdale pumpkins

These are just a few of the many varieties available at Sunnyside Gardens, perfect for adding fall color and seasonal flavor to your home.

Our cider donuts are a fall favorite — light, fluffy, and made fresh daily in our bakery. Many visitors make them part of their annual tradition.
